Dress Rehearsal
Begins at 9:00 AM on Saturday, May 23rd, 2026 at Packard Music Hall at 1703 Mahoning Ave NW, Warren, OH 44483. Arrive at 8:30 AM so that we can start running the show at 9! Please do not be late; we want to make this happen as quickly and smoothly as possible. Arrive dressed in your first costume (and tights), bring all costumes and shoes, and sit in the auditorium and await further instruction. We will run the show from start to finish, pausing to fix and adjust routines. We may run routines multiple times. Bring your patience. I recommend bringing drinks and snacks in case it ends up being a long morning for some of you! Once your routines are complete, you may leave. Please keep the parents/guardians present at dress rehearsal to a minimum (2 MAX). You may leave your costumes and belongings in the dressing rooms until you return later in the evening. I am anticipating plenty of time to go home after dress rehearsal before coming back for the show.
Dancers are allowed to watch performances in the audience during dress rehearsal; they do not need to stay in their dressing rooms the whole time. There will be no dressing room attendants during dress rehearsal, so parents/guardians are responsible for their children during dress rehearsal.
Dressing Rooms
Dancers will be assigned dressing rooms (see assignments below). All dancers MUST stay in their dressing rooms for the entire show. Dancers in only one dance are allowed to go sit with their parents (on laps, or in a seat that has been purchased for them). Parents can drop off dancers in their dressing rooms prior to the start of the show, and pick them up after, or whenever they are leaving the venue. There will be dressing room attendants starting at 6:00 PM until the end of the show to make sure everyone is okay and that everything is going smoothly. The attendants will not be present during dress rehearsal. Parents/guardians are allowed in the dressing rooms to help with costume changes. If you would like to provide your own dressing room attendant to stay and help your child with changing, that would be very helpful. If any dancers are sitting in the audience, their parents must bring them back to the dressing room at least 5 dances before theirs to make sure the performance is not missed. Change quickly! Make sure you are ready to go. The show will go on with or without you! There will be former ADA dancers retrieving dancers from their dressing rooms and lining them up backstage, so there will be no wandering out of the dressing rooms to the backstage area until you are called upon. Young dancers will not be left alone backstage. NO parents are allowed backstage!
Dancers are not allowed to leave their dressing rooms during the show without a parent or guardian retrieving them from the dressing room. Dressing room attendants will make sure of this.
Bring snacks or entertainment for the dressing rooms if you feel necessary!
Dancers will be responsible for warming up, stretching, and practicing on their own before the show.
Dancers are responsible for their own costumes, accessories, and shoes. If you have misplaced them, Miss Ali and Miss Mara cannot make them magically appear.
Respect the dressing rooms! Please keep them clean. Leave them the way you found them! Do not touch anything that isn’t yours. Keep the noise level low. We don’t want to disrespect our fellow dancers and/or interrupt the show. Pick up all trash and make sure to take all your belongings with you. Miss Ali and Miss Mara do not want to clean up after you, nor do they want to pay an additional cleaning fee.
There will be a livestream of the show in each dressing room for the dancers to watch, so they won’t miss out on the action!

What to Wear
Pre-K through 2nd grade: hair up and out of face (no specific requirements)
All other classes: hair in ponytail for entire show. Please keep all hair out of face. (Curly, straight, or braided are all okay as long as it’s a clean and neat ponytail!) If your hair is short, do your best to make sure it is not a distraction while dancing.
Makeup: wear it! I do suggest that dancers wear at least some makeup, so their faces are not completely washed out by the stage lights. Wear what you are comfortable with. I am not picky about colors or amount!
Face and body glitters are okay to wear WITHIN REASON
Jewelry: stud earrings ONLY! NO bracelets, watches, ankle bracelets, necklaces, rings, earrings other than studs, etc.
No hair accessories other than those that go with your costumes! No hairstyle changes during the show, unless specifically told otherwise.
Nail polish: neutral or plain! Nothing obnoxious or bright, please.
Hide all undergarments! Please make sure that all bras and undies are hidden. If you cannot get away with hiding everything, nude/clear is the best option. Nude leotards/bodysuits are also allowed to be worn underneath your costumes!
Wipe and clean up shoes if they are dirty. Remove all stickers and tape.
Pink ballet shoes, tan tap shoes, and black jazz shoes. No socks!
Tights must be worn with ALL costumes (unless specifically told otherwise) for the entire show. We will have extras in the lobby for $6 per pair if you need them!

Miscellaneous Info
If you need to get up out of your seats for any reason during the show, wait to do so between dances. Please be respectful of the dancers and their loved ones trying to enjoy their performances. Pass this along to your guests, too, please. Because of issues with this in the past, we will have ushers at each of the auditorium’s entrances to ensure doors remain closed except between dances. Plan trips to and from seats with or without dancers accordingly!
Be aware of the people around you trying to enjoy the show. Be quiet. Be respectful.
Sit in your assigned seats only.
There is no finale, but if you can, we ask that you remain present for the duration of the show to support all the dancers. If you must leave, please do so quickly and quietly in between dances.
Miss Ali is a very busy lady, especially on recital day. If possible, please refrain from calling or texting her unless absolutely necessary, because she will likely not be able to respond. If you have a question, please ask fellow dancers, dance parents, or refer back to this information before reaching out. Make sure to get all your questions answered and ducks in a row before recital day!
We will have a videographer producing DVDs and USBs that will be available for purchase. (Sign-up sheet in the studio now!) DVDs are $20 each and USBs are $25 each. These must be paid by Thursday, May 21st. Any unpaid orders are not guaranteed.
There will be an ADA merchandise table at dress rehearsal and the recital. We will only accept cash for merchandise, so plan accordingly if you would like to make a purchase. Items range from $1 to $15.
We will be selling handmade chocolate flowers by Miss Gwen for $1 each/$5 bouquets (cash only). These proceeds will be donated to Lydia’s Love Moments to support our sweet Lydia’s non-profit organization providing love and comfort to cardiac patients and their families.
Packard will have refreshments for sale before the show as well as during intermission, and they do accept credit cards.
